Hafdis Hafsteins is a children’s book and young adult fantasy author as well as an illustrator.
She grew up with one foot in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik and the other foot in the countryside and she considers herself lucky to have experienced both sides of her country.
Hafdis has always loved reading and writing, and every Christmas she gets at least one book as a gift. She wanted to combine two of her passions, writing, and animals in her first book, ‘The Chameleon Which Lost Its Colour’.
In 2022 Hafdis signed up for BA in English at the University of Iceland as she wanted to gain more knowledge of the English language, as well as literature and it will provide a great foundation for her career as a writer.
Hafdis loves enjoying the good weather in Tenerife, where she now lives.
